Our Friend Toby 1992 - 2005
|
Toby was "put down" on Tuesday morning December 27, 2005.
He got to the point of not being able to get up. For a while he couldn't even lift his head. He was taken
off his pain meds because they damaged his liver and other organs to the point he couldn't keep food down.
He was given
medication to help him with his symptoms, which helped the vomiting, but without his pain meds he could hardly move.
When we tried to help him up, but
he just pushed his head down and stiffened his legs out. We realized then that he wasn't going to need his
organs very long and the pain medications was needed more. So we put him back on the pain meds on Monday
night. We stayed up with him most of the night and took him to the emergency clinic on Tuesday
morning. He is being cremated. We miss him a lot, but he did live a great life and was a great pet.
